2. Paper Snowflake Forest Backdrop
Paper snowflakes evoke childhood nostalgia and cost almost nothing to make. With enough variety and layering, they create an eye catching winter scene that photographs beautifully.
Materials
White paper
Scissors
Tape or removable adhesive
Optional fishing line for hanging floating flakes
How to Create It
Cut dozens of paper snowflakes. Mix different sizes and patterns. Arrange large flakes on the wall first, then layer medium and small ones on top. For extra depth, hang snowflakes from the ceiling at varying lengths using fishing line so they appear suspended in air behind the subject.
Why it Works
Paper snowflakes catch light beautifully, creating texture and movement in photos. The scattered white shapes mimic drifting snow and create a whimsical winter forest look.
