7. Feather Crown or Headband

Whether it’s for a music festival, a costume party, or just a fun photo shoot, a feather headband is a statement piece. It’s light to wear and adds an instant “flower child” or “royal” energy to your outfit.

  • Materials Needed:
    • Plain plastic or metal headband
    • 5–7 medium-sized feathers
    • Felt scraps
    • Hot glue gun
  • Steps:
    • Lay out your feathers to decide the order (usually the tallest in the middle).
    • Glue the feathers to the underside of the headband so they stand upright.
    • Cut a small strip of felt and glue it over the quills on the inside of the headband. This protects your head from the scratchy stems.
    • Wrap the front of the headband in ribbon or lace to hide the glue points.

Pro Tip: If you want a “floating” look, use thin wire to attach the feathers so they bounce slightly when you move.
